Calling all members of Newtown High School’s Class of 1975.

A 50-Year Reunion is happening over Labor Day Weekend 2025, and organizers are looking forward to celebrating with classmates. It’s time to reconnect, reminisce, and make new memories.

Five special events have been planned and a private Facebook group has been created to keep NHS ’75 members in touch before, during, and after the weekend.

Informal Friday Night Welcome

A casual Friday evening meet-up is being planned as classmates arrive in town.

Location details for the August 29 event will be shared on the Facebook page.

Saturday At MaryGold's

The main reunion event is planned for Saturday, August 30, 6 to 9 pm, at Marygold’s on Main, 19 Main Street.

Guests will enjoy a delicious spread including mini lobster rolls, mushroom tartlets, cheeseburger sliders, coconut shrimp, and unlimited non-alcoholic drinks. Tickets are $60 per person. A cash bar will be available.

After the event, guests can head downstairs to Good Old Days Pizzeria & Cocktail Den to keep the party going.

Tickets must be purchased in advance for the MaryGold’s event. Information on how to purchase tickets are available on the NHS Class of 1975 Facebook page (search for Newtown High School Class of 1975; it’s the one with a photo of flagpole) or contact Carol Ault at aultstl@gmail.com for information on where to send a check.

Tour Of Newtown High School

Graduates are invited to take a nostalgic walk down memory lane with a guided tour of Newtown High School starting at 10 am Saturday, August 30.

All-Class Reunion At Town Park

On Sunday, August 31, join NHS alumni at the All-Class reunion from 2 to 6 pm at the Dickinson Town Park pavilion.

Live music will again be performed by beloved high school band Panacea, and there will be plenty of time to say Hello to old friends and teachers.

BYO chairs and your NHS name tag.

A food truck will be at the park, but attendees are also welcome to bring their own food and beverages.

Afterwards, classmates can catch up further at NewSylum Brewing Company in Fairfield Hills for pizza and drinks.

Labor Day Parade

The Class of 1975 will be marching in the Labor Day Parade on Monday, September 1.

Those planning to join the group are encouraged to wear any NHS clothing they still have (and fit into).

There will be more information about where and what time to meet on the NHS Class of 1975 Facebook page as the date approaches.

Facebook Page

As mentioned above, all reunion updates, RSVP lists, ticket info, hotel info, and event announcements will be posted on the NHS Class of 1975 Facebook page.

The NHS 1975 Reunion Committee plans to begin posting the names of everyone confirmed to date to attend the 50-year reunion on the Facebook page to encourage those looking for friends to make sure they’re also attending, or to reach out to classmates who may not have heard about the event yet.
