SOUTH KENT — On June 23, Newtown Scholarship Association will hold its 34th Annual Golf Tournament at Bull’s Bridge Golf Club in South Kent. This is the association’s biggest fundraiser that the NSA Board of Governors relies on to fund scholarships for deserving Newtown college-bound students.

This year’s tournament will begin at 11:30 am with golfer registration in the newly designed club house. The day will include lunch, a buffet dinner with open bar, raffle prizes, and a live auction. The auction will offer exclusive items such as a foursome at Trump Briarcliff Golf Course and four 13th row Giants tickets for the upcoming season.

NSA President Jay Bartel is excited about the day.

“This year we are honoring Jan and Joe Skrzypczak for their unwavering support of our association,” he said. “This is our biggest fundraiser so it’s an integral part of our ability to make college more affordable for exceptional Newtown students and their families.”

Foursomes typically sell out fast for the opportunity to play Bull’s Bridge.

Cost is $500 for an individual player or $2,000 for a foursome. To register for the tournament or become a sponsor, go to NewtownScholarship.org.

Since its inception in 1937, Newtown Scholarship Association has awarded thousands of scholarships totaling more than $5 million. Donations large and small are always welcome. To donate, go to NewtownScholarship.org.
