Lisa Greto
Lisa Greto passed away peacefully and in the presence of her devoted husband Giovanni on the 14th of June after a brief illness. She was able to say goodbye to her family.
Lisa was born on August 22, 1962, in Mamaroneck, N.Y., to Ernest and Dorothy Willvonseder. She met Giovanni Greto in high school and they fell in love in 1984.
Lisa and Giovanni got married in 1992. They spent 42 loving years together and raised two children, Nicole and Eric Greto, who both adored her.
Lisa was a caring mother and wife. She was eager to share her exceptional creativity with her family, making every day feel special and turning every holiday into an adventure.
Lisa was a talented, lifelong artist, and a dedicated board member of the Society of Creative Arts in Newtown (SCAN) for over 20 years.
Creating art was in her soul. She was a skilled oil painter who could interpret a setup with ease. She could make the simplest arrangement come to life with her choice of colors and placement of shadows.
Not only a creative person, Lisa was generous with her time and dedication to SCAN.
Her “make it happen attitude” was always evident.
One would always find her hauling tables, setting up lighting and drop cloths, and orchestrating birthday celebrations. She was the person you could always count on.
Lisa was a beautiful person both inside and out. If you met her or were lucky enough to know her, you wanted to be her friend.
She will be forever remembered and greatly missed by her family, friends, and fellow artists.
Services will be at the convenience of her family.
