To the Editor:

I would like to propose during this period of transition at The Bee that you eliminate the police reports. It seems to me that there is nothing particularly newsworthy about the fender benders that happen around town. It only serves as an embarrassment to those involved by having their name in the paper for all to see. If crimes occur, it should be reported.

However, the police reports are not newsworthy in any way.
