The Town of Newtown has announced two planned road closures.

Trades Lane, between its intersection with Wasserman Way and Keating Farms Avenue, will be closed Monday and Tuesday, June 27-28. Detour signs will be posted to direct traffic.

The bridge on Meadowbrook Road will be closed as of July 5. The closure is expected to remain in place until November, while the bridge is replaced.

Detour signs will be posted, with traffic to be sent over Cold Spring Road.
