A report on the Newtown Board of Education’s finalizing of its budget, which ran in the June 18 edition of The Bee, stated the school board approved $213,000 in computer purchases for the Reed Intermediate School, plus an additional $40,000 for monitors. The monitors were included in the $213,000 authorization. The story also stated that the board approved no further job cuts in the 2010-11 budget. The story should have reflected no further teaching job cuts were approved.
