An event being planned by Friends of Newtown Seniors (FONS) next week has been updated slightly.

Local senior citizens are still invited to join FONS for a social event on Wednesday, June 30, beginning at 4 pm.

The event will now take place at the Villa Restaurant, located at 4 Riverside Road.

Organizers hope to welcome the return of warm weather and in-person gatherings on the restaurant’s patio. In the event of rain, the group will move indoors.

Cost is $20 for an appetizer plate and a glass of wine, plus tax and tip; or $40 for those who wish to order dinner with their appetizer, plus tax and tip. Reservations are requested and should be called in to Janice Garten, 203-304-9096.
