After rain forced a five-week postponement, Newtown Forest Association presented its third annual SpringFest on Saturday, June 14.

The inclement weather did not stop eager guests from making the trek up Holcombe Hill and enjoying pet adoptions, lawn games, face painting, a food truck, a raffle, and many vendors.

Dozens of attendees enjoy the various tents set up for Newtown Forest Association's third annual SpringFest on Saturday, June 14.
One highlight of the event was the opportunity to adopt a dog sponsored by Companion Pet Rescue Dogs in Southbury. This cute little puppy had just been adopted.
Welcoming guests during SpringFest were, from left, NFA Trasurer Mike Dylag, NFA Executive Director Trent McCann, and Jessica Sachs. Despite a postponement from April 26, the weather was not fully cooperative for organizers on June 14 but they and attendees forged on nevertheless. —Bee Photos, Glass
