Landscapers Are A Cut Above The Rest

The Landscaping Unlimited Green Machine captured the Cal Ripken 9 year old in-house baseball championship this past weekend with a 9-4 victory over Newtown Hardware.

The Green Machine jumped out to an early 4-1 lead with aggressive base running from Luke Barrett and key RBI singles from Nikolas Accousti and Ryan McNerney. Adam Gray and Ayden Kasbarian provided solid pitching efforts in the early innings.

Newtown Hardware rallied in the bottom of the third to tie the score at 4-4 on a three-run double to deep center from Tyler Fuori.

The Green Machine came right back with five runs in the top of the fourth inning to go ahead 9-4 and never looked back. Liam Loging pitched two innings of scoreless ball to shut down Newtown Hardware and secure the title.

The Green Machine finished the season on a seven-game winning streak and received solid offensive and defensive contributions from Ryan Beardsley, Will Archiere, Max Bloomquist, and Max Wrage in that stretch.
