Men’s Senior/Junior

The Men’s Senior/Junior tournament was held at Rock Ridge this past week. The tourney featured a strong field and some very low scores.

Day one saw an early lead for Steve Mais and John Gschwind fire a 3 under 67 to take a three-shot lead over George Trudell II and Mike Portnoy. At the end of they day, no other team could match the dominant performance of the Low Gross Champions, Mais and Gschwind.

Even closer was the battle for Low Net. Leaders John O’Connor and Frank Colavito, held a one-shot lead over three other teams, however a late charge from both Larry McCoy and John Dubraski’s team, as well as Tom Bartram and Art Weisgerber on day two left O’Connor and Colavito looking up. A Sudden Death Playoff determined the winners, and Bartram and Weisgerber came out on top.
