Marcus C. McCready

Marcus C. McCready, 70, husband of Judith P. McCready of Toddy Hill Road, Sandy Hook, died June 27 in Danbury Hospital.

He was born in Belfast, Northern Ireland, October 7, 1933, son of the late David and Sarah Howlett McCready. Mr McCready came to the United States in 1938.

For more than 30 years, Mr McCready was employed as electrical supervisor at Bullard Company in Bridgeport. Following his retirement from Bullard ten years ago, he was employed as building manager at the Edmond Town Hall in Newtown.

He is survived, besides his wife, by one son, Michael P. and his wife Denise McCready of Chicago, Ill.; a daughter, Maureen McCready of Danbury; two brothers, Samuel McCready of Baltimore, Md., and Edward McCready of Northern Ireland; one sister, Isabelle Berry of Northern Ireland. He is also survived by two grandchildren, Miles Marcus McCready and Amelia McCready, both of Chicago. He was predeceased by three brothers, David, John, and James McCready, and is survived by many nieces and nephews.

Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family.

Interment will take place in Resurrection Cemetery, Newtown.
