Summer Program At Westover School

MIDDLEBURY — Westover School’s summer programs for girls will take place this year from July 18 to 23 and July 25 to 30.

The program is open to girls entering sixth, seventh, and eighth grade interested in the arts or academics.

Campers will live in the Westover dorms and can choose to engage in various areas of focus, including women in science and engineering, offerings hands-on experience in math, science, and computers, and drama.

In drama, students will have the opportunity to participate in theatrical staging, makeup, set building and costume.

 Additional programs include dance, offering a fusion of essential dance elements and rhythmical adventures; photography, culminating with the students’ own gallery show; painting, in which students will work with oil on canvas; and creative writing combined with a book making project.

Students will also have a chance to engage in Model United Nations, an introduction to the United Nations, including a field trip to New York City.
