The Homesteads at Newtown is presenting its 3rd Annual Summer Concert Series this summer, with music for every taste. At most of these concerts, patrons will have the opportunity to dance to the beautiful music under the stars in The Homesteads’ lovely main courtyard (or in the dramatic Panoramic Dining Room in the event of rain).

Scrumptious refreshments and seating will be provided.

All performances are free and are on Tuesday evenings at 7 pm, rain or shine. The Homesteads’ summer lineup also includes dancing on July 20, August 3 and August 31.

The 2004 series will continue July 6 with a performance by The Jim Scianna Trio, featuring tenor saxophonist Carmen Leggio and pianist Chris Casey.

Concerts continue on July 20 by The Kenny Lee Orchestra with swinging Big Band tunes, 50’s rock, and all-time favorites; August 3 with Clam Diggers Dixieland Band; August 17, Double Play, a tuba-flute duo with “classical yet innovative music with an unexpected twist”; and The Jeff McGill Quartet on August 31.

Reservations are requested if possible; call 426-8118. The Homesteads at Newtown is at 166 Mt. Pleasant Road (Route 6) in Newtown, near I-84 Exit 9.
