Two New Members Inducted Into Newtown Rotary
Newtown Rotary inducted new members at its regular Monday night meeting at the Fireside Inn.
Richard Sturdevant is a longtime resident of Newtown and is known in the area for his camera shops, which were located on Main Street in Danbury, on South Main in Newtown, and in the Plum Trees Shopping Center in Danbury before he retired. Most recently he served as the chairman of the board of Union Savings Bank. His sponsor was Rotarian Bill Watts.
The second new member is Joe Tarshis. Mr Tarshis, his wife Susan and three children are longtime residents of Newtown. He is owner and CEO of the Entrepreneurâs Source, a consulting firm.
Newtown Rotary is now 50 members-plus and growing. The club has a dinner meeting every Monday at the Fireside Inn at 6:15 pm and anyone interested in knowing more about the organization and its dedication in helping peoples of the world are invited to attend a meeting
