Program On Diversity

“Diversity in the communities, schools, and workplace,” a panel discussion sponsored by the Greater Danbury Coalition for a Community United, will be aired this month on Charter Communications Cable Channel 21.

The video was made at the ’99 annual meeting of the coalition and was narrated by Sam Deibler, a coalition member and executive director of the Association for Religious Communities.

Featured panelists are Mark Robinson of Ridgefield, who works to promote an appreciation and understanding of minorities and advocating for cultural diversity; Lisa Scails, a veteran civil rights activist, who was recently named state president of the NAACP and who works in the Danbury schools; and Nancy Urell, a human resources executive for Union Carbide in Danbury, who is committed to promote work force diversity and career development for minorities.

Viewing times are Monday, July 10, at 11 am; Sunday, July 15, at 7 pm; Monday, July 17, at 11 am; and Sunday, July 22, at 7 pm.

The Coalition is a not-for-profit agency working to promote diversity and eradicate stereotyping. Members come from agencies and individuals representing all the towns of Greater Danbury.
