Alexander P. Clement

Alexander P. Clement, 69, of Greenlawn Drive, Danbury, husband of Dorothy (Keenan) Clement, died at Danbury Hospital on July 1.

He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Kevin and Linda Clement of Newtown, and his grandchildren, Alexandra, Daniel, and Kara Clement.

He was born in Danbury, July 19, 1931, son of the late Alexander and Mary (Branco) Clement. He was a graduate of Bethel High School, class of 1949, and served in the US Army during the Korean War. Mr Clement worked for the former Dolan Construction Company of Bethel for more than 30 years, where he retired as a foreman. He was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church and a past member of the Knights of Columbus and the Bethel Zoning Board of Appeals.

He is also survived by his wife and brothers, Manuel Clement of Delaware and John Clement of Bethel; sisters, Lillian Clement of Danbury and Hilda Nichols of Bethel. He was predeceased by his brother, Anthony Clement.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Sacred Heart of Jesus Church on Friday, July 6, at 10 am. Burial will be in St Mary Cemetery, Bethel.

Calling hours were scheduled at the Green Funeral Home, 57 Main Street, Danbury, on Thursday, from 5 to 8 pm.
