To The Editor:

I am proud to offer my wholehearted endorsement of Jeff Capeci for First Selectman and Charlie Gardner for the Board of Selectmen. Both men have demonstrated a longstanding and sincere commitment to serving the people of Newtown.

Jeff Capeci brings more than two decades of public service to our town, having served on the Board of Selectmen, the Legislative Council — twice as its Chairman — the Charter Revision Commission, and now as our current First Selectman. His breadth of experience has given him a deep understanding of the town’s operations and the complex issues we face. Jeff continues to lead with integrity, especially in challenging financial times, and he’s never shied away from making the tough decisions that keep Newtown moving forward.

Charlie Gardner will be a tremendous addition to the Board of Selectmen. With his legal background, along with his knowledge of economics and land use, Charlie offers a skill set that complements the Board’s work and supports thoughtful, informed decision-making.

Together, Jeff and Charlie represent steady leadership, proven experience, and a vision for Newtown’s continued success.
