Discovery Teacher Will Be Missed

My family was very saddened to learn that John Vouros will be leaving the Newtown school system as one of the Discovery teachers. This past school year my eldest daughter as a fourth grader was a student of Mr Vouros in his Discovery class for gifted students.

She thoroughly enjoyed the experience of the gifted classes and she often expressed how much she was learning from Mr Vouros. As parents we try to instill confidence in our children and teach them to strive to always do their best. John Vouros always exemplified these qualities and challenged his students to do the same.

Thank you, Mr Vouros, for all that you have done for my daughter and the other gifted students of Newtown. Thank you for being a source in the system that echoes my sentiments as a parent of a quality education for all. Thank you for encouraging parents to be vigilant advocates for their children.

The loss of John Vouros to the Newtown school system is tremendous. Anyone who has worked with John knows how special and unique an educator he is. Best wishes to Mr Vouros in his future endeavors. He will be greatly missed.
