Dolores Buckley Jacko

Beloved Wife And Mother

Dolores Buckley Jacko, 79, of Stratford, beloved wife of Robert E. Jacko, died June 28 at the Bishop Wicke Health Care Center Shelton. Mrs Jacko was born in Bridgeport, the daughter of Michael and Mary Surel Buckley.

 Survivors in addition to her husband include four children, Karen Ross of Newtown, Robert Jacko of North Haven, Gregory Jacko of Florida, and Audrey Falaguerra of Milford; three sisters, Joan Keogh of Bridgeport, Carol Capozzi of Fairfield, and Noreen Smith of Florida; 11 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two sisters, Valerie McLarney and Mary Leah Anthony.

She was retired from the Bridgeport Board of Education Nutrition Center. She was a volunteer for the Mercy Learning Center, and the Fairfield County Irish Festival. She was a proud member of the Lunch Bunch.

Funeral services were held July 2 at St Mark Roman Catholic Church Stratford, for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment was in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull.

The family would prefer memorial donations to either Memorial Sloan-Kettering Center, 1275 York Avenue, New York NY 10065 or Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation of America, 386 Park Avenue South, 17th Floor New York NY 10016.
