Virginia M. Osborn

Virginia (McShane) Osborn, 70, wife of the late Glenn M. Osborn, of 14 Juniper Road, Newtown, died July 2, at Abbott Manor convalescent Home, Waterbury.

She was born in Portchester, N.Y., July 25, 1929, daughter of the late Matthew and Mima (Edward) McShane.

Mrs Osborn was a graduate of Greenwich High School. A resident of Newtown since 1966, she was employed as a clerk in the Town of Newtown Finance Office for 20 years, retiring in 1995. She was a member of the Business & Professional Women’s Club of Newtown.

She is survived by four sons, Frederick Garrett Osborn of Southbury, Edward Maver Osborn and Glenn McShane Osborn, both of Newtown, and Russell Matthew Osborn of North Brooksville, Me.; and four grandchildren, Jennifer Anne Osborn, Garrett Matthew Osborn, Alexandra McShane Osborn, and Aaron Spencer Osborn.

A memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours.
