Ridgefield VNA Offering Well Child Clinics

RIDGEFIELD — The local VNA is currently taking appointments for a series of well child clinics to be held over the next two months. The clinics provide low-cost school, camp, or sports physicals to area residents.  

An RVNA well child visit includes a physical performed by a physician or nurse practitioner as well as all school required immunizations. The program can benefit many families, especially those who have recently moved into town and whose children need a physical or immunizations in order to enroll in school or camp. 

RVNA also offers a pediatric flu and meningitis vaccination programs that protect children and families from devastating diseases. A $50 fee covers the exam and all school required immunizations. Immunizations without a physical are $21 per shot. 

No insurance is needed, and there is a sliding scale available to parents who are unable to cover the cost.

RVNA is taking appointments for the next clinic to be held Wednesdays, July 11, August 22 with Jayne Flynn, APRN, August 29, and September 5. Clinics are from 6 to 8 pm at the RVNA office, 90 East Ridge.
