Listed On eBay For $5 Million

WARREN — Klemm Real Estate Inc, a Litchfield County real estate broker, has listed for sale most of the commercial zone of the antique town of Warren. The property includes the restored Warren town crescent encompassing three retail stores and two offices, located on a key intersection; an 18th Century Colonial and two newly renovated stone barns, which are zoned residential/commercial; and more than 73 acres (15± are commercial and 58± are residential). It will be offered on eBay for $5 million.

The broker calls the offering “a unique opportunity to create a live/work scenario with multiple income producing properties, and/or development of additional commercial and residential properties.”

Located in the center of Litchfield County, near the famed Mayflower Inn and Spa, Warren is a weekend sanctuary to many New Yorkers and numerous celebrities. It is about 1.45 hours from Manhattan and borders Lake Waramaug; nearby Mohawk Mountain offers skiing.

Incorporated in 1786, Warren has 1,300 residents and is situated near the towns of Washington Depot, Litchfield, and Kent. Local activities include hiking, horseback riding, tennis, on-road and mountain biking, cross country and down hill skiing, and golf.

Butternut and Catamount Skiing Mountains are just 45 minutes north. The Housatonic River is a few miles away and provides fly fishing, river rafting, and kayaking.

Warren is one of only three towns bordering Lake Waramaug, one of New England’s most scenic and prestigious lakes. It is the second largest natural lake in Connecticut. The town of Warren maintains a beach on Lake Waramaug situated on the end of a private peninsula and is available for use by all town residents and their guests. Warren is also close to many antiquing centers and fine dining establishments.
