Mary Theresa (Deierlein) Muzzio, 81, formerly of Norwalk, died peacefully in her sleep at her Village of Brookfield residence on July 2.www.honanfh.com.

Her husband Amil W. Muzzio, Sr; her son A. William Muzzio, Jr, his wife Tricia, and their daughters, all of Sandy Hook; her daughter Katherine Grigg, her husband Edward, and their son, of Norwalk; and also her beloved sister Elizabeth Lockwood, her husband Roger, and their three children, of Florida, previously of Norwalk, survive her. She will be dearly missed.

She was born and raised in Greenwich and graduated from Sacred Heart Academy in Stamford. After graduating, she enjoyed her career as a dental office administrator in Greenwich. She met Amil W. Muzzio, Sr, through friends and they were happily married for 52 years. Mrs Muzzio decided to become at stay-at-home mother and raised her two children. As a young woman, she was a very active member of The Newman Social and Charity Club in Stamford and always a devote Roman Catholic.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 am on Monday, July 18, in St Rose of Lima Church, 46 Church Hill Road, Newtown. Interment to follow at St John's Cemetery in Norwalk.
