Rev Mesnig Elected

To National Church Post

BROOKFIELD – The Rev Carl E. Mesnig, minister of Newbury Congregational Church, was elected to the National Financial Services and Investment Committee of the National Association of Congregational Christian Churches at the annual meeting held in Spokane, Wash., June 29 through July 2.

In addition to his ministry, Mr Mesnig is treasurer of the Connecticut Fellowship of Congregational Christian Churches. After 46 years in banking in Connecticut and Massachusetts, he retired as vice president of Fleet Bank. He has been active in Masonic and Order of the Eastern Star circles, having held state offices in both Massachusetts and New York.

An active singer, he is a founding member and soloist of Berkshire Schola Cantorum of St Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, Pittsfield, Mass., and a member of the Waterbury Chorale, having toured with them in Austria and China. He and his wife Patricia live in New Milford.
