A large group of local teens volunteered on July 2 to help the Friends of the C.H. Booth Library set up the big book sale, scheduled for July 13-17 at Reed Intermediate School. Members of the Newtown Cheer Squad, Girls Field Hockey, and a number of boys from town spent hours helping to move boxes of books, CDs, DVDs, and more.

It takes dozens of volunteers more than a week to organize all 120,000 items for sale, so book sale patrons can easily find their treasures.
