Daniel Philbin, 80, passed away peacefully in the presence of his loved ones on June 29, 2026.

Dan served in the navy for 3 years before marrying Pat, the love of his life. They lived in the Bronx, their hometown, raising their son, Dan Jr.

Dan relocated his family to Sandy Hook in 1991, where he spent the remainder of his life. He was a devoted husband to Pat, proud father of Dan and loving grandfather to his three grandchildren.

Dan was a man of immense inner strength, successfully achieving sobriety and dedicating himself to AA meetings and sponsoring new members. He was an avid sports fanatic who would spend hours talking to his son about the sporting world.

His easy smile and loving nature will be sorely missed every day, while his memory continues on in the minds and hearts of his family.

Forever loved, forever missed.
