Digital Photography Workshop For Young Adults

Young people who want hands-on experience and pointers in digital photography are invited to attend a workshop Saturday morning, July 28, from 9 to10:30 am, outside the back door of the C.H. Booth Library. The Newtown Flagpole Photographers Camera Club, in conjunction with the C.H. Booth Library young adult department, is offering a free workshop on how to take better pictures with your digital camera. Any young adult entering sixth grade and up is welcome, and may invite a parent or other adult to come along.

Participants should bring their own digital camera and the manual for that camera. The course includes five pointers for taking good photos; a walk around the library outdoors and inside, taking photos that demonstrate each point; and on-the-spot assistance by John Tucci, president of the Flagpole Photography Club.

Mr Tucci, an award-winning photographer, will lead the session.

Sign up at the main floor circulation desk of the library or call 426-4533 to register for the free workshop.

Flagpole Photographers Camera Club is a family-oriented club that hosts speakers and contests at the library on the third Thursday of the month, September through June. Membership is open to all at $20 per person per year, and people 18 or younger are free.
