Panhandlers To Perform

BROOKFIELD — The Panhandlers will present a program of Caribbean-style music on Sunday, July 22, at 4 pm, on the lawn of The Brookfield Library, 182 Whisconier Road.

The popular group, which includes steel pan, percussion, guitar, keyboards, bass, vocals and trombone, will play a variety of calypso, soca, reggae, and Latin tunes.

Admission is free and refreshments will follow the performance. Bring lawn chairs or blankets for seating. In the event of rain, the concert will be held in the library’s community room. This is the second of three outdoor programs in the library’s “Afternoons at the Arbor” 2007 summer concert series. This year’s series will conclude with Dixieland Jazz Party V on August 26. For more information, contact The Brookfield Library Community Services Department at 775-6241 extension 104.
