Antique Car Event At Bradley-Hubbell House
EASTON â A collection of Model T Fords (circa 1908-1927) and a variety of other early antique cars will be on display at the Bradley-Hubbell House, 535 Black Rock Turnpike (Route 58), on Sunday, July 30.
Beginning about noon, the cars will parade around Easton, visiting historic sites and other points of interest. At approximately 1 pm the parade of cars will return to the historic home, where they will be displayed until 3 pm.
The Model T Fords are owned by members of Connecticut Crankinâ Yanks, an area chapter of Model T Ford Club of America. Vintage cars from other area clubs are expected to join in the festivities as well.
People attending the event will also be invited to tour the Bradley-Hubbell House and Barn, to see the progress on the restoration now underway, to view early 19th Century artifacts, and to see demonstrations of the antique tools that are on exhibit in the barn.
The house, built in 1816, is now listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
Suggested contribution for the car show is $5 for adults, or $20 for a family, with proceeds to benefit the Bradley-Hubbell House restoration. Snacks and beverages will be available.
