Children’s Classics At

Quick Center This Summer

FAIRFIELD — Fairfield University’s Regina A. Quick Center for the Arts will host performances of the Children’s Summer Theatre Workshops with Missoula Children’s Theatre this summer. The performances, which continue until August 19, are the culmination of six weeklong summer theatre workshops for young people in grades 1 through 12.

The schedule of performances continues as follows:

Sleeping Beauty on Friday, July 15, and, with a different cast, on Friday, August 5;

Robin Hood on Friday, July 22, and, with a new cast, on Friday, August 19; and

The Wizard of Oz on Friday, August 12.

Now in its 16th season, the Children’s Summer Theatre Workshops offers students a chance to work with directors from Missoula Children’s Theatre, the country’s preeminent professional children’s theatre company. They also take classes led by professionals in movement, improvisation, arts and crafts and more before the Friday production.

All performances take place at 7:30 pm in the Kelley Theater of the Quick Center for the Arts. Tickets are $10 for adults and $8 for children, with discounts for groups and subscriptions available.

No children under the age of two will be admitted to the performance. This will help ensure the children on stage can give their full attention to their performances.

For tickets, call the Quick Center box office at 203-254-4010 or 1-877-ARTS-396. For more information, visit www.QuickCenter.com.
