Nighthawk Football Camp
Nighthawk Football Camp
All 2005 Newtown youth football eligible players are invited to the Nighthawk Football Camp July 18-21 at Hawley School. The camp will meet from 9 am to 12 noon each day (Friday, July 22, will be a rain date). Newtown High Scholl head coach Ken Roberts will lead the camp. The camp will focus on teaching the junior players the fundamentals and basic techniques of the game. Each day of camp will include skill and contact drills designed to help build a solid foundation of football skill. The goal is for the players to enjoy a safe and fun football experience that teaches them some of the skills that they will use throughout their football career. On Thursday there will be inter-squad scrimmage games (based on age group) and a pizza party. Players are required to wear complete football uniform and protective equipment (including mouth guards) at all times. The camp will not provide uniforms and protective equipment; all equipment will be provided by Newtown Youth Football. Fee is $100 per player. Call 270-1917 for further information.
