Named To ‘Best Doctors’

Dr A. Roger Bobowick of Sandy Hook has been selected by his peers to be listed in Best Doctors in America 2005-2006.

A peer-review survey by thousands of doctors determines which doctors are included in the database, making inclusion a remarkable honor. Best Doctors includes 32,000 doctors whose medical experience, skill, and insight can be tapped to help manage complex medical problems. The database serves more than 10 million people in 30 countries and has been acclaimed for successfully connecting patients to the best medical care.

Dr Bobowick has been in practice since 1972 and is known for maintaining old-fashioned standards of spending one hour listing to and examining his new patients.

He graduated from Fairfield Preparatory School in Fairfield, the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, and Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston. He was a medical intern and neurology resident at Yale-New Haven Hospital.

Dr Bobowick is a member of Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society, the American Academy of Neurology, and the American Epilepsy and EEG Society.

He is a board-certified neurologist in private practice in Waterbury, and an assistant clinical professor of neurology at Yale University. He also is an attending neurologist at Waterbury and St Mary’s hospitals and is chief of neurology at St Mary’s Hospital.

Dr Bobowick lives in Sandy Hook with his wife Barbara. They have two married sons. Scott and his family life in Fairfax, Va.; Todd and his family reside in Sandy Hook.
