Sometime between 5:30 pm July 13, and 3:15 pm July 14, someone threw a large rock through the windshield of a maintenance truck parked at Village Cemetery at 18 Elm Drive, police report. The truck, which is owned by the cemetery, received an estimated $2,000 in damage to its windshield and  hood, police said.

Police are investigating the first degree criminal mischief and ask anyone with information about the crime to contact them at 426-5841, or at 270-8888.

Rear-End Collision

At about 7 pm on July 20 on westbound Interstate 84’s Exit 10 off-ramp, motorist Michael Sullivan, 19, of 16 Rockywood Drive, who was driving a 2001 Jeep Cherokee, struck the rear end of a 1996 Toyota Corolla driven by Carol Farmer, 59, of Brookfield, police said. There were no injuries. Police said they issued Sullivan a written warning for failure to drive a reasonable distance apart.

 

Youth Charged

Police report that while on patrol about 1 am on July 21, they spotted Andrew Bolmer, 17, of 31 Swamp Road while he was walking southward near 97 South Main Street, so they stopped him to investigate. Police said they charged Bolmer with possession of drug paraphernalia because he possessed a glass pipe that is used for smoking marijuana. Police released Bolmer on a promise to appear in court on August 3.
