A contractor for Eversource is scheduled to perform stray voltage testing next week.

According to a notice from the utility company, testing will be done during evening/overnight hours between Monday, August 2, and Thursday, August 5. Osmose has been contracted by Eversource to do the testing. The company’s vehicles will be marked with Eversource markings and colors.

The slow-moving vans will be traveling at night through town, including residential neighborhoods, testing streetlight poles, traffic signs, manhole covers, etc.

“Our goal is to ensure that you are aware of the planned work, should you receive inquiries from any residents,” said Eversource Community Relations and Economic Development Specialist Samantha LaBonne.
