Helen Elizabeth Howryletz, 96, of Newtown, died July 21, in Danbury Hospital. Mrs Howryletz was the wife of the late Dan Howryletz. She was born May 18, 1913, in New York City and was one of six children.

Mrs Howryletz had been a permanent resident of Newtown since 1972, and was a communicant of St Rose of Lima Church and a member of the St Rose Theatre Group. She had a great love for her home, family, and friends. She enjoyed the past six and one half years residing at the Homesteads at Newtown.

Mrs Howryletz is survived by two sons, Matthew Howryletz of Danbury and Peter Howryletz and his wife, Kathy, of Wantagh, L.I., N.Y.; and her daughter, Patricia Nielsen of Centerville, Va. Four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren also survive Mrs Howryletz.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St Rose of Lima Church, Friday, July 24, at 10:30 am. Interment will follow in St Rose Cemetery.

Calling hours were scheduled at the Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main Street, Newtown, Thursday, July 23, from 3 to 5 pm and 7 to 9 pm.
