Live Music At Dickinson Park
The Jay Willie band is a four-piece rhythm and blues-based band featuring Bob Callahan on vocals and guitar, Dave Polley on bass and vocals, Ron Stahl on drums, and Mr Willie on guitar and vocals. The band will perform the next concert in Newtown Parks & Recâs summer concert series on Thursday, July 30.
The concert will be at Dickinson Park, under the pavilion, and will run from 6:30 until 8 pm.
Picnics are welcome, and attendees should bring their own seating.
Attendees will be in for a treat Thursday night. Bob Callahan has shared the stage with James Cotton, James Montgomery, and other blues notables. Ron Stahl is a graduate of Berklee College of Music and has studied with world renowned drummers, including Casey Schurell.
Dave Polley and Jay Willie played together with Bob and Tod Willie for the past eight years in the classic rock band Gutter Boogie, and Dave and Tod are currently in the band Liquid 8. Also, Bob and Jay recently recorded a blues CD titled Abandoned Tracks with former Johnny Winter drummer Bobby Torello.
