Friends Grateful To Town And Local Businesses
To The Editor:
Another year, another successful book sale! The Friends of the C.H. Booth Library thanks the town and school officials and local businesses that made our 49th annual sale possible.
Town officials and school personnel provide assistance throughout the year and especially at book sale time. We appreciate the support of First Selectman Jeff Capeci and the Newtown School District, as well as that of the Borough of Newtown, the Public Works Department, the Land Use Agency, and Police Department. Especially helpful were Reed Intermediate School Principal Matt Correia and staff (especially the custodians).
Many local businesses generously stepped up to the plate again this year: Angelina’s, Associated Refuse Haulers, Bagel Delight, Blue Colony Diner, Caraluzzi’s Markets, Carminuccio’s Pizza, Cover Two, Dunkin’, Durant’s Party Rentals, Ferris Creamery, Franco’s Pizza & Pasta, Hilltop Kitchen, Marie’s Movers, My Place Restaurant, Newtown Savings Bank, Nick’s Catering, Project Pizza, Pudelz T-Shirts, Sal e Pepe, Stew Leonard’s and Stop & Shop.
We are also grateful to the C.H. Booth Library staff and trustees who supported our sale in myriad ways and who do such an excellent job of providing top-notch services to the community.
Last but far from least, we thank The Newtown Bee for its coverage of this much-loved community event.
We have already started preparing for our 50th annual sale next July. We encourage you to visit boothbooksale.org for the latest on that sale and all of the Friends’ upcoming activities.
