Loved Nature And History

Alan D. Purrone, 54, of Sandy Hook, died unexpectedly July 24 at Danbury Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Pam (Hitchcock) Purrone.

Mr Purrone was born in Bridgeport on December 10, 1952, a son of Adolph Purrone of Trumbull and the late Marion (Kroos) Purrone. He was a graduate of Trumbull High School and attended Fairfield University.

A resident of Sandy Hook since 1984, Mr Purrone was employed as a sales manager for IMA North America of Pennsylvania. He was a lover of nature and history.

In addition to his wife and father, his son, Bradford Purrone of Sandy Hook; and two brothers, Brian Purrone of Sheridan, Ore., and Christopher Purrone of Torrington, survive Mr Purrone.

Friends may call at the Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main Street, Newtown, Monday, July 30, from 5 to 8 pm.

 In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Historic Deerfield, Old Main Street, Deerfield MA 01342.
