John L. Badaracco

N.Y. Supreme Court Clerk

John L. Badaracco, 87, of Kensington Green, Southbury, died July 22, at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, New York City. He was the husband of the late Theresa (Centineo) Badaracco.

Mr Badaracco is survived by his daughter, Lisa Mason and her husband, Gene, of Sandy Hook; and three granddaughters, Susan, Gabriella, and Alexis.

Mr Badaracco was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., on December 31, 1919, son of Lawrence and Louise (Minnicello) Badaracco. He was employed as Supreme Court clerk for the State of New York until his retirement. In his 20s, Mr Badaracco was a policeman in Brooklyn.

He was a longtime resident of Long Island, where he was an avid bowler. Mr Badaracco was a member of the American Rose Society and grew award-winning roses. He had lived in Southbury since March of this year.

Funeral Services will be held Friday, July 27, at 9:30 am from the Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main Street, Newtown, and at 10 am in St Rose of Lima Church for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will be in St Charles Cemetery, Farmingdale, N.Y. Calling hours were scheduled for Thursday, July 26, from 4 to 7 pm at the Honan Funeral Home.
