Sturdevant Named Community Representative For The Woods At Newtown
The Woods at Newtown has named Marie Sturdevant as its first community representative.
The residential community of condominiums and townhouses for persons age 55 and older is being developed on 50.7 acres along Mt Pleasant Road.
As community representative for the development, Ms Sturdevant will be available to help homeowners with reservations for entertainment or travel, personal shopping services, housekeeping, car washing, home âhandymanâ services, and even pet sitting.
âOur goal is to provide concierge style service to our owners so they can pursue their interests, travel and enjoy area attractions,â she explained.
Ms Sturdevant has been an active member of the Newtown community for more than 35 years, prior to moving to the neighboring town of Brookfield last year. She is membership co-chair of the Newtown Womanâs Club, secretary of the Working Womenâs Forum, and director of Hospice in Newtown. She is also a member of the Newtown Congregational Church, where she is a deacon, chairperson of the Ways & Means Committee, and a member of the Stewardship Committee.
âMarie truly knows and loves the Newtown area,â said Leonard Kohl of Kohl Partners, LLC, developer of The Woods at Newtown. âWhether homeowners want to join a local organization, buy tickets for a Broadway show, schedule tee time at a local golf course, or find installation services for their computer, television and entertainment systems, Marie knows just how to make that wish a reality.â
