Dona Morgan
On Wednesday, July 16, 2025, Dona Morgan was freed from the bonds of this earth. She passed away peacefully at home.
Born in Danbury on November 17, 1950, Dona was the cherished second child of David B. Morgan Jr, who passed in 1987, and Marion R. Morgan. Dona grew up in Newtown, where her family had called home for over 30 years. She is survived by her brother, David B. Morgan III (Yvonne) of Loganton, Penn.; her loving sisters, Pamela Morgan (Patricia) of New Milford, and Bonnie Morgan Palo (Vincent) of Acworth, Ga.; along with the memory of her late brother, Barry S. Morgan, who passed in 1975.
From her earliest years, Dona was a beacon of joy. She effortlessly connected with others, building a wide circle of friends who admired her kindness and caring nature. As a child, her adventurous spirit shone brightly as she rode her beloved horse, Misty, and actively participated in the 4-H Club, nurturing her lifelong passion for animals and the outdoors.
Dona graduated from Newtown High School in the class of 1968, where she made her mark as a spirited member of the Pep Club. Her journey then took her to Ithaca College in New York, where she pursued her passion for art, earning a bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts. Dona’s love for art was a guiding force in her life; she embraced minimalism in her painting style and sold several pieces over the years. Her passion for the arts began at a young age and was a constant outlet for creativity and experiences throughout her life.
Her adventurous soul led her to travel through Europe after college, where she wrote heartfelt letters home, sharing vivid stories and beautiful memories of the places she visited. Following her travels, Dona returned to Connecticut, where she utilized her artistic talents in marketing and advertising for local companies.
As we reflect on the beautiful spirit Dona was, we take comfort in knowing that she is now at peace. To leave a message of support for her family or to share your own memories of Dona, please visit munsonloveterefuneralhome.com.
