Edmund T. Zigman
Edmund T. Zigman, 91, of Woodbine Street, Waterbury, died on July 22 at St Maryâs Hospital after a brief illness. He was the husband of the late Loretta (Coyle) Zigman.
Mr Zigman is survived by two sons, Gary F. Zigman and his wife, Paula Zigman, of Newtown, and Edmund T. Zigman, Jr, of Waterbury. He also leaves three grandchildren, Monica Zigman, Jenna Zigman, and Jonathan Zigman.
Mr Zigman was born on December 29, 1913, in Bristol, son of the late Joseph and Elizabeth (Savage) Zigman. He attended local schools and was employed for many years at New Departure Division of General Motors in Bristol as a shipping and receiving manager. Mr Zigman was a US Army Veteran who served in the Pacific Theater during World War II. He was also a member of The Mattatuck Drum Band.
Funeral services for Mr Zigman were held July 26 from the Casey-OâDonnell Family Funeral Home, 1581 East Main Street, Waterbury, to Saints Peter and Paul Church, 67 Southmayd Road, Waterbury, for a Mass of Christian Burial. Burial followed at Calvary Cemetery.
