Gloria Joyce Frawley

Gloria Joyce Frawley, 79, wife of the late Gerald J. Frawley of Taunton Lake Road, died July 23 at her home. She made her home with her caregivers, daughters Mary Grace Polson and her husband, Stephen, and Virginia James.

She was born in Pine City, N.Y., on August 13, 1925, a daughter of the late Grant and Grace (Dengler) Collier. She was a resident of Newtown for 38 years.

Mrs Frawley attended Henry Abbott Technical School when she was 48 years old and received her LPN degree from the State of Connecticut in 1973. She was a psychiatric nurse at Fairfield Hills Hospital for more than 15 years.

In addition to her daughters and son-in-law who took care of her, Mrs Frawley is survived by three sons, Timothy Frawley and his wife, Cheryl, of Newtown, Gregory Frawley of Danbury, and Robert G. Frawley of Saratoga Springs, N.Y.; another daughter, Alice C. Frawley of Brookfield; and a sister, Virginia Dunbar of Rochester, N.Y. Mrs Frawley is survived by 11 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews, all of whom she loved dearly.

Funeral services were held July 27 from the Honan Funeral Home, Newtown and in St Rose of Lima Church for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment followed in St Rose Cemetery.
