To The Editor:

Running for First Selectman is an extraordinary honor, and I’m grateful for the trust the Democratic Town Committee has placed in me. I pledge to serve the residents of Newtown with every resource and ounce of energy I have.

As I consider what truly matters in public service, one principle stands above the rest: RESPONSIVENESS, whether it’s an email, a phone call, or a personal request for assistance, I believe every outreach deserves acknowledgment, attention, and action.

When you reach out to me, it’s because something matters to you. I want you to know it matters to me, too. Openness and transparency aren’t optional — they’re essential. Evasive answers or silence are unacceptable in government, and I intend to raise the bar.

That’s why I’m committing to respond to all requests within two days. I may not have an immediate solution, but I will close the loop with you, so you know your concern is heard and work is underway.

Together, let’s build a culture of accountability, compassion, and real connection in Newtown.
