Fashion Marketing & Management

LITTLE FALLS, N.J. — Berkeley College, a liberal arts institution offering associate and undergraduate programs at schools throughout New York and New Jersey, recently announced a new addition to its academic offerings — a bachelor’s degree in Fashion Marketing & Management.

“The program was designed with significant input from industry insiders who understand that to be successful in the fashion world, students must also be able to understand the business world,” said President Dr Mildred Garcia. “Berkeley’s innovative program combines cutting-edge fashion courses with a solid background in business, preparing out students to hit the ground running in the fashion industry.”

Among the distinctive courses in the Berkeley Fashion BBA are Retail & Channel Management and Product Lifecycle Planning. In addition to their fashion courses, students will be required to complete coursework in business and technology, qualifying them to apply their expertise to work in the fashion industry. Programs will be offered at schools in White Plains and Manhattan. Students will have the opportunity to attend fashion shows and obtain internships with leading fashion employers in the New York metropolitan area.

“This area, with its wonderful culture and distinctive mix of people from all over the world, is the true destination of people who have a passion for fashion,” said Dr Garcia. “The Berkeley College Fashion BBA is a unique program that will provide the best of all possible worlds for students interested in exciting careers in the fashion industry.”

Berkeley College has offered an associate’s degree in Fashion Marketing & Management for more than 20 years. Graduates have long urged the college to establish a baccalaureate degree. Now, incoming students can complete their fashion education right at Berkeley.
