All That Is Good About Newtown

To the Editor:

The incredible outpouring of support at Donate to Skate’s event this past Saturday exemplifies all that is good about our community. People from all walks of life joined the Newtown community in launching what is clearly an effort to support and engage our youth in positive, pro-social activities.

In my eyes, leadership should not necessarily be measured by what one is able to accomplish. Rather, it should be measured by what and how much one is able to help others accomplish. Lori and Chris Capoziello, New Hope Community Church, Newtown Youth & Family Services, and all of the other volunteers and organizations need to be commended for the incredible work they are doing with and for our children and young adults. Thank you all for supporting our youth and for allowing them to accomplish great things here in Newtown.
