Newtown Resident Joins Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage Team
Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage announces that Sylvi Horvath has joined its team of sales professionals. Ms Horvath lives in Newtown with her husband, Richard. She is the mother of three grown daughters, Jillian, Lauren, and Stephanie Horvath, all of whom attended Newtown Public Schools.
Ms Horvath bought her first home in Newtown 26 years ago. When her family grew, she bought a larger home in Newtown, where she has resided ever since.
Ms Horvath, a graduate of Brooklyn College undergraduate and graduate schools, taught elementary school in Brooklyn, N.Y., and in Brookfieldâs elementary, middle, and high schools. A lover of books and new learning, she got a second masterâs degree in library science from Southern Connecticut State University and transferred to the Fairfield School System where she held positions as the middle schoolsâ gifted program coordinator, instructional improvement teacher, and computer resource teacher before retiring from the education field.
âSylviâs extensive background in education will be a big resource to all of her relocating clients,â said Frank DâOstilio, sales manager of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage. âThey say school teachers make the best realtors. We are delighted to have Sylvi on our team,â Mr DâOstilio said.
Ms Horvath enjoys reading, ringing in a bell choir, knitting, hiking, biking, and traveling in her free time. She is a member of the social action board and shawl ministry at the Westport Unitarian Church. She volunteers as a tutor at a Bridgeport school and delivers Meals on Wheels.
