Free Blood Pressure Tests

The Danbury Visiting Nurse Association will sponsor a free blood pressure screening on Thursday, August 10, from 1 to 2 pm, at the Newtown Senior Center on Riverside Road.

The screenings are held the second Thursday of each month in the same location. Call the Danbury VNA for more information at 792-4120.

Schools could be consolidated here as enrollment decreases. And some 'luxury' programs should be trimmed. Downsizing administrators and support staff should be considered as well. And a 'few hundred' dollars on top of inflation is a bridge too far.
