Texas style blues group My Brother’s Band continued the 2025 Newtown Summer Concert Series with a performance at Dickinson Park on July 24.

The rock group is comprised of some of the best local musicians in the area, with many having toured around the world. Scott Spray on bass and Bobby “T” Torello on drums were longtime members of the Johnny Winter Band and both are in the New England Music Hall of Fame. Brothers Jay and Tod Willie are local legends of rock music while Ken Hanna, lead guitarist of One Track Mind, rounded out the group for the local performance.

The 90-minute concert featured songs from Grand Funk Railroad, the James Gang, .38 Special, Steve Winwood, and many of the Johnny and Edgar Winter hit tunes. The concert was enthusiastically received by the scores of audience members.

One Track Mind was scheduled for July 31, but canceled ahead of expected storms that evening.

Dirty Martinis will close the season on August. Concerts run 6:30-8 pm at the band shell of Dickinson Park; closest parking is from the park’s Deep Brook Road entrance. In the event of rain call Newtown Parks & Rec (203-270-4340) or check its Facebook page.
