To The Editor:

Dan O'Grady becomes the clear choice for Judge of Probate in the upcoming Republican Primary for several reasons.

First, Dan O'Grady served as Judge of Probate for 20 years before regionalization combined the four towns of Bethel, Redding, Newtown, and Ridgefield. During those 20 years, Dan O'Grady distinguished himself not only as a competent judge, but as a caring and compassionate one as well. Those of us who had need to avail ourselves of probate services during his tenure found Dan O'Grady one who could respond to situations with both legal knowledge and personal warmth.

Also, Dan O'Grady has shown the desirable qualities of an outstanding member of his community. He has coached teams, participated in many organizations, done extensive pro bono work, contributed his time and talents to Exchange Club and Lions Club projects, and has served his town in many capacities, most recently as town treasurer.

Finally, Dan O'Grady has the experience, the enthusiasm, and the energy to serve as Judge of Probate for the region. Clearly, Dan O'Grady is the preferred choice for August 9.
